Accuracy disclaimer for calculators and data

The calculators on this Site are built on published formulas (primarily NREL PVWatts v8) and government data (EIA, NREL, EPA, DOE). Every reasonable effort is made to keep them accurate. However:

  • Calculator outputs are estimates, not engineering specifications.
  • Real-world solar production varies with weather, shading, panel degradation, inverter quality, installation choices, and many other factors not captured by a simple calculator.
  • Cost and incentive figures reflect U.S. market averages and may not apply to your location, utility, or installer.
  • Always consult a licensed solar professional before purchasing, installing, or modifying a solar system. Do not use these calculators as the sole basis for major financial, engineering, or safety decisions.

Intellectual property

All original content on the Site — written articles, calculator implementations, charts, illustrations, and the site design — is copyright © 2024–2026 Marko Visic. All rights reserved.

NREL PVWatts data, U.S. government datasets (EIA, DOE, EPA), and other public-domain references remain the property of their respective publishers and are used under their public-domain or open-data terms.
